Heads
A Head is a departmental AI worker that owns an area of your business. It reads the work arriving in that area, drafts the next steps, and acts within the autonomy you set for it. On the reference tenant, ten Heads are enrolled, each running at supervised.
What does a Head own?
Section titled “What does a Head own?”An area of your business — the work that would otherwise land on one department’s desk. The Head takes that area’s inbound, and everything it produces belongs to that area rather than floating around unowned.
Ownership is the point. When something arrives, there is one Head accountable for it, and one autonomy setting that governs what that Head may do.
Why does a mailbox get its own Head?
Section titled “Why does a mailbox get its own Head?”Because a mailbox is an area of work with an owner. Business-Gym runs per-mailbox owner Heads: a generic Email-Triage head for ordinary mail, plus specialists for specific jobs — invoice ingestion, for example.
So a shared mailbox is not a pile of unassigned mail. It has a Head reading it, and specialist Heads pick up the items that match what they do.
How do Heads work together?
Section titled “How do Heads work together?”They coordinate over a Service Bus mesh. When one Head’s work needs another Head, the hand-off runs over that mesh.
You do not wire the connections. Coordination between Heads is part of how the mesh works, not something you set up Head by Head.
Do I talk to the Heads directly?
Section titled “Do I talk to the Heads directly?”Not usually. The Concierge is the layer above the Heads and your single point of contact. You deal with one place; the Concierge deals with the Heads.
That keeps ten Heads from becoming ten inboxes for you to check.
How much can a Head do on its own?
Section titled “How much can a Head do on its own?”Each Head has its own autonomy dial with three settings: off, supervised, and auto. On the reference tenant, all ten enrolled Heads sit at supervised.
The dial is per Head, so a Head handling routine work and a Head touching something consequential do not have to share one setting. What each of the three settings allows is covered on the autonomy dial page.
Where do I go from here?
Section titled “Where do I go from here?”Two pages go deeper than this overview, depending on whether you want the day-to-day or the controls:
- Working with a Head — what the day-to-day back-and-forth with a single Head looks like.
- The autonomy dial and the panic switch — what off, supervised, and auto each mean, and how to pull work back.
For the loop every Head runs on, see inbound → approve → execute.
